Wow... That's so heartbreaking. I really don't know what to say. I think it's wise for you to have come to the conclusion you gave in the last paragraph... It's definitely what I would advise. You've given her chances, you've been a friend to her, and she isn't keeping up her end of the relationship. It's not like you're giving up on her; you said this was happening for two years. You hung in there and tried, but nothing happened except you feeling miserable with the situation. It's not what you deserve. I really think your decision is the best one.
