Okay, so I was really bummed when the whole RP thing exploded. I'm not going to lie.

But now?


Oh dear god it's a gongshow.


It's to the point where I have no problems discussing it here, and I generally don't talk about that stuff here when other users are involved (though I will be leaving out direct usernames)


You want to kick me out from being York and then replace me with someone who (created a good character, I'll admit, but) can't write a good York? I'm sorry, you can't be a horrible liar and be a fantastic conman. Conning is nothing but lying. I don't think this person has ever seen Matchtick Men. Or Ocean's 11. Or like any con movie ever where they explain that if you can't lie you're dead in the water.

And I'm sorry, but if one of the main reasons you give me for banning my York profile is that "he can't be a braggart or cocky because he's a theif and that's against his character" then don't pick someone to write York who lists as one of his main personality traits that's he's "cocky and arrogant about his skills"

Now this is nothing against the person playing him now. If they'd gotten to York first, I wouldn't have liked the profile, but I wouldn't have cared because she/he would have gotten the character fair and square.

I think we all know who this is about, don't we?

Amusing sidenote: I think she got wind that her OC's are off the Sue scales and are actually by far the worst Sues on the site, a friend told me to go see how she "tried to flush the profile out" and actually made it so, so much worse.

So at this point? I think kicking me out was the best thing for me. I'm no longer depressed and watching the ship go down. I'm laughing on the shore with a bucket of popcorn.

I thought your York was okay. I mean, a little more exaggerated than I see him, but still pretty okay. And since when is York listed as a thief in canon before Freelancer Academy? The only time we see him breaking and entering is after everything fell to shit. I will admit that in canon, he's shown to fumble around a little bit ("Sorry, officer, I just, uh, dropped the key to my shop here..."), but I'm pretty sure he could get around a cop - it was Tex, after all, who caught him, and she's a little more perceptive than most. And how is bragging/being cocky OOC for a thief? Just as long as they're not bragging, yanno, to the police or anything, there's nothing wrong with being confident in an unusual skill set.

... I don't know who this person is but their profiles are way too long. *sigh* More details =\= not!Sue. And the descriptions are way, way, way over the top. Owns two apartments? In Manhattan? At sixteen? I can't tell how any of those characters are actually going to play in the game from how they're listed.

I really, really want to stay in this RP but it really seems like I'm the odd girl out. Everyone else seems to be BFFs. Can't wait until they put the Sue label on Carolina... *sigh* Might be joining you with that bukkit of popcorn if this circlejerk goes on for long enough.

They're slapping the Sue label on anything that moves. Seriously. It's sad. Particularly when they'll ban a profile or demand you change it they way they want it to "fix" the sue, while the two worst and most annoying Sues there are actually theirs.

After the incidents (Starting with the York fiasco) I just pulled up my profiles and left. If they want to be unprofessional and petty, fine. They just wanted me out as York so the mod's friend could take it. They'd been after that character since day one. I'm not the only person to leave because of them, I know several other people. It's dead now, anyway.

Yeah, I really kinda want to leave ('cause nothing's going on and I have my own Freelancer project I want to work on - which btw I have posted both at my journal and at rvb_slash), but if I leave, they win (and also a mod or mod friend gets to pick up/ruin Carolina).

... you know what, fuck it, I don't have time to waste on waiting for people to start up a game and then probably talk behind my back. I need to work on my own projects. Care to share your popcorn?

They talk behind everyone's back. If you want to make sure they don't use what you've already posted, you might want to delete the profile/account. That's what I had to do with mine... I loved South and no way was anyone using my profile when I left.
